Essential #5
The Boyfriend Button Down Shirt
The boyfriend button down is such a great shirt. Its both casual and adorable. And you can pretty much wear it with anything. There are also so many different styles and ways to wear it. The two above are from Forever 21. At Forever 21 they have tons of different styles, colors, and designs all for under 30 dollars which is great. But if you're looking for a better quality button down, go to a Gap or Banana Republic. The boyfriend button down is so easy to wear with anything and it will look cute. I usually like to wear them with leggings or shorts and tights.
With Christmas only five days away I've been super busy gifting and busy with school work so recently posting sort of seems like a chore for me which I hate because I'm becoming lazy about something I enjoy doing, and I don't just want to post something for the sake of just getting something out there. But it's okay, blogging will resume shortly and I'll get back into it.

Essential #4
Boyfriend Knit Cardigan
There are so many different types and styles of cardigans, also with different designs. But my all time favorite is the Boyfriend Cardigan. They're my favorite because they can just go with anything. Although the ones with beading and design on them are pretty, I tend to stick with the pain solid color because they're so easy to wear with anything and they're perfect for finishing off any outfit. The Boyfriend Cardigan is also very convenient. It's the perfect thing to resource to to wear over a dress or even jeans and a shirt.
The cardigan above is my favorite one that I have. I bought it at Club Monaco while interning with them over the summer. It's so comfortable and easy to wear with any outfit.
This is another one of my favorites, from Paul Smith Jeans, that I recently bought in Philadelphia. Everyone needs a black cardigan at one point or another.
This isn't the boyfriend cardigan style, but I thought that I'd share this with you. i recently purchased this sweater online from Gaiam. This sweater is made from organic cotton and with 100% all natural materials. Not only do I love the organic, all natural part, but it's such a unique sweater. Theres countless ways to wrap it and its perfect to make a boring plain outfit exciting.

ESSENTIAL # 3
Minnetonka Moccasins
Moccasins are something that can be worn with anything from skinny jeans and cut off denim shorts to dresses and skirts. They're secretly chic and America's first foot wear. My personal favorite brand is Minnetonka. They have so many different styles and they're all so comfortable and have been designing for over 50 years. The moccasin above is what I have (the original) but the adjustable sting is a darker brown. They are so comfortable to wear with pretty much everything, but NEVER with socks. It just looks awful. I once purchased the five layer fringe boots:
But for some reason I decided to return them. They are a little awkward looking but I wish I had kept them. Minnetonka also makes moccasins with beads on the front part. These designs were used to determine what tribe one belonged to.

#2 ESSENTIAL
Nail Polish
I have quite the obsession with nail polish, I don't really have any favorites but I like darks, pastels, and corals the most. Nail polish can finish off any look and makes you feel and look more put together. The above nail polishes are from American Apparel. My favorite/most recent nail polish purchase from AA is: Rose Blow
Favorites by OPI
Above is the Katy Perry nail polish by OPI. My favorite is the crackel one (farthest one to the right.) First you paint your nails a solid color then use Crackel for a top coat and it looks like broken glass! So cool.
Mad as a Hatter.
This is from the Alice in Wonderland Collection. It's a mixture of all different color sparkles, which makes it very difficult to remove, but worth it because it looks so great on. It was my favorite until it dried out. :(
Favorites by Essie:
This is their Fall Collection. My favorite is Sew Psyched (the light/dark green)
This color is by Topshop (one of my favorite stores)
Its called Silver Bullet.

ESSENTIAL #1
Black Opaque Tights
Black tights are something that ever girl should have. They're extremely comfortable and extremely chic at the same time. They can also expand your wardrobe. Tights let you wear dresses, skirts, and shorts in the winter and fall without freezing to death or showing ashy, pale legs off. If a dress or skirt is questionably too short, tights are a great way to make it appropriate. I love wearing black tights with my distressed Levi shorts or with over sized (usually my dad's) sweaters or shirts. My favorite black tights are by Gap, they make the most comfortable ones. I also like Wolford, but they tend to be around $40 -$80 per pair which is a splurge but most definitely worth it.

20 ESSENTIALS
I have recently been thinking about doing posts about the 20 essentials (in my opinion) that every girl must have in her closet. For me the essential must-haves are items that I would not be able to live without. Most of these items I wear frequently and they basically goes with everything. These are items can be worn throughout all the seasons. Each essential represents my personal style, and when some styles begin to fade, these items will be there for me to turn to with confidence. Sooo starting soon I will start posting the 20 essentials so stay tuned!!
