Watch

WATCH YOURSELF {ESSENTIAL #12}

 Dad's Baume & Mercier watch mixed with my favorite gold bangle and deep red beaded bracelet.  I know I said I don't like to splurge on watches, but this is just such a simple watch that I can pretty much wear with anything. And plus, I didn't splurge on it, my Dad did!
 Vernier Watch. Purchased at Lord and Taylor. This watch is actually hard to wear
because of all its bright colors. I actually haven't worn this watch out in a
long time, its hard to pair with the right outfit.

 Gifted Lucky Brand watch. I really like this watch because unlike the one above, its quite
easy to wear. I love pairing it will both thin and large bangles, it just simply completes it.
Pulsar watch, I've actually never heard of this watch brand. This watch was given to me by my wonderful Grandma. This watch doesn't actually work. I guess I'm just to lazy to bring it to the jewelers to be fixed. But as I said, who looks to their wristwatch for time now a days?
 Tommy Hilfiger watch. This is more of a Spring/Summer watch. Paired with a turquoise bracelet.

Last but not least, my favorite watch. I have no idea who makes makes this watch, it looks like it says, Bulova. I can't tell over all the dust and dirt in it. But that's what makes it my favorite, it's so vintage. This watch definitely does not work, I wouldn't even attempt to get it fixed. Ever since I got it from my Grandma the arms have been in that same diagonal line.

Now that we have our cell phones to tell us time, watches have become pure fashion items to us. There are many ways to go when shopping for a watch. Depending on your shopping fund, your personality, and your style. To me, purchasing a watch that could, instead, buy you an entire new wardrobe is just silly. So brands like Rolex and TAG Heuer are just not options for me. Just because new styles of watches are going in and out often. So vintage ones, Lucky Brand, a Timex, or even a plastic Swatch would suffice for me. Or, you can be spontaneous and opt for a men's watch. Men's watches look spectacular mixed in with bangles or tons of beaded bracelets. It just depends on your personality and style.

Bangles

BANGLES {ESSENTIAL #11}
 These bangles are my absolute favorite piece of jewelry I own. You can basically wear them with just anything to top off the look. Plus you can wear them with other bangles, watches, beads, anything.
 hellllooo there
I found these bangles on the sale rack at Saks. (score!) So I obviously felt obligated to get them. I really like them because they're so different. AND because they were on sale.
And I'm so sorry for my naked nails.

There are hundreds of different kinds of bangles. From huge chunky ones, funky ethnic styles, or thin ones.  The good thing about them, is that they're available in precious and nonprecious materials. I like to stick to metals and plastics while shopping for bangles. Bangles are definitely my favorite piece of jewelery. They can be found in high end stores, such as Saks, or on the streets. Personally, I would rater go to South Street or to a vintage thrift store to shop for bangles, you find more unique pieces here.  I like to mix chunky ones and tin ones to pile on. i suggest mixing all sorts of different materials, like the wood with the silver. See what works for you.

Perfume/essential 10

PERFUME{ESSENTIAL#10}

Obviously, every girl needs some sort of formula to make her smell/feel confident and beautiful. Above are my three favorites.

Red Lip Stick

RED LIPSTICK {ESSENTIAL #9}
Red Lipstick is the ultimate lip color to have in your bag at all times. Red lipstick is a classic that has yet to go out of style. Wearing red lipstick without wearing any make up at all can automatically make you look made up.
Some of my favorite celeberties in red-

I think Gwen Stafani looks so good with red lips because everything else is so pale,
that it is just the right pop she needs.

Megan Fox.
Let's be real, this girl and wear anything in any color and she'll look amazing.

Converse

CHUCK TAYLORS {ESSENTIAL #8}

I'm pretty sure, that second to UGGs, Converse is the pair of shoes that everyone has.
Simply because they're simple. They're easy to wear with anything from jeans to dresses and they complete a very casual look. These sneakers are just a kick back style that makes you look like your not trying to hard and not over thinking a look too much. Coverse has also colaberated with many artists and organizations to make more unique sneakers. For their 100th anneversery they launched the red converse 1 HUND(RED) to help eliminate the AIDS virus. Recently they have made Converse featuring Dr. Seuss which are quite adorable.
My favorite:
With Converse I stick to the simple styles, such as-

UGGS/ESSENTIAL #7
The other day one of my teachers brought something very interesting up upon the conversation of most girls wearing UGGs. Girls are not getting the full experience of shoe shopping while buying UGGs. UGGs are pretty much sold at most department stores and lots of shoe boutiques and outlets. But whats the fun in going into a Nordstrom and saying, "Uggs, chestnut, size 7, please" Girls are being deprived of one of the most, to me at least, exhilarating and joyful experiences out there. You don't get to walk buy the table covered in Christian Louboutin's that are so close, yet so far away. Feet were made so we could wear beautiful shoes! Don't get me wrong, UGGs are very comfortable and very convenient...to wear to SAT class at 9 o'clock in the morning on a Sunday and that's why they're Essential Number 6. Because they're that pair of shoes that you can just throw on with anything at anytime. I'm not saying to go spend your entire life savings on Christian Louboutin's, but just look at them and think how much you would love to have them at least. It's both torturing and beautiful. If you are about to purchase a pair of UGGs, be a little spontaneous and try some of
these:

ESSENTIAL #6

When winter comes around and temperatures really start to plummet we love to
turn to a pair of nice, comfy, warm boots. Therefore any type of boots are
entitles to be essential number six. Above is a  pair of booties that I have been
thinking about purchasing. For some reason I really like heel booties.
I recently got these boots from Steve Madden and have been loving them.
My favorite part is the red zipper along the inside. That's actually the reason I
 bought them. Plus they're super comfy!
I suppose you could call these booties. But more clogs. Anyway I got these a while ago,
but don't think I've ever posted about them. They're by Jeffrey Campbell and my most
favorite pair of shoes I own. They are actually very comfortable and go nicely
with mostly everything. On the plane back home from Texas I left them in a bag
in the overhead. I know, devastating. BUT the airport found them and they
should be getting to me any day now!
These are also Jeffrey Campbell, I've also been thinking about this pair, but I feel like
they're too similar to the ones above. Plus pretty much all the shoes I own
are black. I've been trying to be a bit more spontaneous with the shoes
I purchase, basically no more buying black shoes.
